Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your access to and use of the City of Indiana Roleplay community website and game server.

Last updated: August 13, 2026

01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the City of Indiana Roleplay website, creating an account, or participating in the community, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy and server rules. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the service.

02

The Service

The City of Indiana Roleplay is a non-commercial, fan-made roleplay community built around the Red Dead Redemption 2 game on the RedM platform. The service consists of our website — which provides account sign-in, a player dashboard, community galleries, and job/whitelist applications — and the in-game roleplay environment.

We are a volunteer-run community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Red Dead Redemption 2, RedM, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

03

Eligibility & Accounts

  • Sign-in — accounts are created and managed exclusively through Discord OAuth. There is no separate email sign-up.
  • Age — you must confirm that you are at least 13 years old to use the website. The community standard for roleplay participation is 18+, and the community may enforce this standard at its discretion.
  • One account — you are expected to maintain a single account. Creating duplicate or alternate accounts to evade enforcement is prohibited.
  • Account responsibility — you are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
04

Community Rules & Code of Conduct

All members must follow the official server rulebook, which is published and maintained on our rules page and incorporated into these Terms by reference. The rulebook covers in-game conduct, criminal activity limits, law enforcement guidelines, and community standards.

In general, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members.
  • Engage in hate speech, sharing of NSFW content, or explicit/sexual roleplay involving minors.
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised third-party tools.
  • Spam, advertise, or promote unrelated services or communities.
  • Impersonate staff or other members.
  • Attempt to disrupt the website, its databases, or its infrastructure.
  • Post unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise harmful content on the website or in the community.
05

User-Generated Content

You may submit content to the website, including photographs, newspaper articles, avatars, character details, and whitelist or job application answers. You retain ownership of the content you submit.

  • License to operate — by submitting content you grant the community a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the service.
  • Warranty — you confirm that the content is yours, or that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not violate the rights of others or any law.
  • Moderation — the community may review, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or the server rules. Moderation decisions are made by staff and are final.
06

AI-Generated Evaluations

As part of the whitelist application process, your written answers may be evaluated with the assistance of an artificial-intelligence service. This evaluation is automated and is reviewed by staff before a decision is made. Evaluations are probabilistic and not guaranteed to be accurate; staff remain responsible for all application decisions.

By submitting a whitelist application you consent to your answers being processed by an AI service for the purpose of evaluation, as described in our Privacy Policy.
07

Public Galleries & Features

The photograph gallery and newspaper sections are public community features. Photographs or articles you publish are visible to other players. You can control some of this visibility from your dashboard settings, as described in the Privacy Policy.

08

Third-Party Services

The website relies on third-party services including Discord (account authentication and community communication), OpenRouter (AI evaluation), ImgBB (image hosting), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Fonts (typography). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

09

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the website or the game server at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or the server rules, or if we believe your conduct harms the community. Common enforcement includes warnings, temporary bans, and permanent bans.

You may stop using the service at any time. If you wish to have your website account records removed, use the “Delete Application Data” option in your dashboard. Because the service is free, no refunds are payable. Game-server character records may be retained for operational purposes even after account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10

Intellectual Property

The name “City of Indiana Roleplay”, the community branding, the website design, the server rulebook, the lore, and the original written content published by the community are the property of the City of Indiana Roleplay community and its contributors. All rights are reserved.

Red Dead Redemption 2, RedM, and all related game assets and trademarks are the property of Rockstar Games and/or Take-Two Interactive. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the game or platform, and our use of the game is solely for the purpose of running a community within the game's permitted scope.

11

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

In-game statistics are read live from the game server and may be inaccurate or delayed. AI evaluations are automated and not guaranteed to be accurate. The community does not warrant the outcome of any application.

12

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the City of Indiana Roleplay community and its volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the preceding twelve months (which is zero).

13

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Indiana Roleplay community and its volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the relevant state of India.

15

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify members through the community. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
